There are a ton of things that are going on in the office today because the school year is about to come alive…and perhaps be a painful time for some of our students.  However, I am excited about the things that are coming down the pipe for our ministry and I think that are families are going to be stoked by the stuff that we have going on this year.  :-) we will see.

this past weekend was a great bit of fun with all kinds of games, worship and activities.  What could be better that a retreat filled with pudding flinging, musical sandwich eating, skateboard plunger races and all of the sloppy joe’s you can eat…nothing that’s what. Be sure to check out a bunch of the fun at the gallery page to see what went on.  :-)

Last night’s FUEL was just kind of a “chill FUEL”- it was a smaller crowd, and people were laid back and relaxed. The band did an EXCELLENT job with “I Am Free”, “Undignified”, and “He Reigns”. Thanks again to Emily, Amanda, Victoria, Carolyn, Noah, Drew, Bernie, Alex, and Eduardo. We had fun making our own improv musical in two minutes- the topics were “Failing a Test” with a blues theme, and “Asking Someone Out On a Date” with a country western theme.

Don’t forget to bring in shoes next Sunday for our Save Our Soles Shoe Drive! Also, remember to come to the Workcamp Yard Sale- and donate some items while your at it!

Happy Last Week of School- this year sure did fly by fast =]

Last Sunday night at FUEL we worshiped the Lord with our new band! Thanks goes out to Bernie, Matt the Big Kid, Noah, Alex, Carolyn, Matt H., Eduardo, Emily, and Amanda. Oh- and we can’t forget Victoria, their “manager”. They played “Trading My Sorrows”, “Holy Is the Lord”, and “I Can Only Imagine”. It was phenomenal. Please continue to pray for them.

And don’t forget breakfast- the pancakes, Canadian bacon, toast, and eggs were superb!

I think this week’s FUEL was probably the best yet. The “Rag-Man” skit was really moving, as was the dramatic reading. Filling Easter eggs was a great opportunity to serve all of the millions of little kids that will come out on Saturday (the candy was interesting, too- who ever knew there was such thing as gummy hot dogs?) We ate Chrissy’s birthday cake, which was delectable, not to mention the sandwiches and french fries. Overall, the whole event was very moving and a great way to praise God.
