faith… share it

This past summer  I went to work camp and it was an amazing experience. It changed my life in many ways , but I think one way I never really realized or thought about until just recently.
My resident lived on one of the busiest streets I have ever seen.  It reminded me of Main street in Middetown when schools starting, except this road was like this all day long.  One day when we were eating lunch we saw this girl try to cross the street and once she did she came over to us. She asked us what we were doing , and so we explained workcamp to her. We could just see the  joy on her face when we told her everything.  After that she walked away and we didn’t hear from her for a few days.
Then, on our last day just as we were cleaning up and getting ready to go she came over to us again. This time she only talked to me. She had pictures of her baptism, her youth group, and her favorite christian bands.  She told me all about her relationship with God , and how much she loved Him. She was sweet but to be honest she was beginning to annoy me. But then she told me something that I will never forget. She told me that she would have shown me so much more but it was all packed away. When I asked here where she was going and why her stuff was packed away she told me… ” My grandparents are getting too old to take care of me, since I have no one else I’m moving to a replacement home.  But I’m not worried God will be there for me … i just have to pray ya know?”  Then she had to go back home.
I don’t know this girls name , how old she is, or anything about her other than her love for God and her willingness to share how God is working in her life.  I think God put her in my life to show me what he wants me to do. Do we spread God’s love every day in all that we do … or do we just kinda keep it a Sunday thing?  We don’t have to have some huge story like the girl I met and share your story with a complete stranger, but just being there for a friend who needs you or whatever you can to show God’s awesome love for everyone . God wants us to share his love and our faith in Him , and I think that this summer that girl who I’ll never meet again and know nothing about  showed  me exactly what God wants.
    have an awesome week =)
