Finding our focus
The new school year brings about some very exciting new things. Even though there is a lot of homework and at times some boring classes there is also some very exciting tings that we are doing here at life force youth ministry.
This past week at youth group we looked at the ways god calls us to be faithful to the call to be the people that God has created us to be. We also talked about the way that we are to love God and one other, and to make disciples of all nations. We have a job to be the people that God has intended for us. With this the scriptures that we looked at (Matthew 22:34-40, and 28:16-20) we have found sought to find balance in our ministry through five areas that we have been called to. These areas are worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship and service.
Whis these thing considered we see the mission of life force youth ministry as existing to expose (Evangelism) students to God’s love and connect (fellowship) them to other Christians while helping them to grow (discipleship) and to serve (ministry) by giving praise (worship) to God.
It is my prayer that we are able to keep this mission close to our hearts so that we are able to be the people, youth ministry and church that God would have us to be. Through this we are able to experience God in a new and exciting way. We can come to know the creator through the everyday and give back to God’s what is God’s. I am excited to see what this new school year brings. As a looked around the room this past week i thought about the wonderful things that God has been doing and is doing within our ministry. My heart is overjoyed by all of our students who are taking their faith seriously and changing the way we all see what it means to live for God.
PS–I just thought that the cat pic was supper funny.
